The Sareera (body) compose of the Doshas, Dhatus and Malas. The Tridoshas namely Vata, Pitta and Kapha, are generally found in the body. Sapta- dhatus are more gross signs and correspond very tangentially to the different tissues in the body. The Malas are different excretory materials. These together account for the maintenance of health and display of disease. Combination of these elements gives rise to different body constitutions. Therefore different treatment protocols tailor-made for the individual. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Panchabhoutika constitution (assembly of earth, water, fire, air and ether principles), the manodoshas (biological energies found in mind ) and Oushada njana ( knowledge about medicines and their preparations) are vital for providing accurate and scientific Ayurvedic cure.
